Community

BUILDING AN INCLUSIVE AND SUSTAINABLE FUTURE FOR ALL.

At its core, real estate is about people and the opportunity to improve their lives. Supporting the communities where we work and live is how we continue to ensure the inclusive and sustainable growth of healthy cities, strengthen local economies and elevate neighborhoods. This is not just an idea, but our responsibility.

Crucial to a healthy community are attributes such as diversity, connection, safety, belonging, resiliency, and joy. Together we focus on opening pathways to economic advancement, championing quality and affordable homes, empowering small businesses to thrive, and enabling a low-carbon economy.

CORE FUND

CoreFund, formed out of the Village Fund in 2019, is Core Development’s foundation which gives back to the community and hundreds of non-profit organizations. Born out of passion and desire to initiate positive change, 5% of revenues distributed by Core, Village Real Estate, City Living Group and their agents have been reinvested into the neighborhoods in which they work. Together they have contributed more than $3.8 million to community and neighborhood organizations across Nashville. Since 2019, CoreFund has donated more than $1.5 million to organizations focusing on housing, sustainability, communities, and the arts.

CoreFund's Areas of Giving

Housing

CoreFund gives to housing-related organizations including Affordable Housing Resources, Nashville Area Habitat for Humanity and Urban Housing Solutions.

Our belief is that attainable home ownership not only provides for basic shelter and needs, but helps to sustain the local economy, build wealth for families, and establish community networks.

Sustainability

CoreFund gives to organizations such as Greenways for Nashville, Cumberland River Compact, and Nashville Civic Design Center.

As we grow, smart growth and sustainability issues become increasingly important. We believe in protecting our environment and controlling our growth to have the least impact, particularly on historic structures and green spaces.

Community

CoreFund gives to local schools and youth enrichment programs, such as Oasis Center and Big Brothers of Nashville; crisis organizations, such as Magdalene House; programs which provide resources for disenfranchised residents such as Nashville Homeless Power Project.

Whether it is to beautify our streets and enhance our parks, or encourage community events, support of our neighborhood associations is essential.

The Arts

CoreFund gives to organizations such as Nashville Children’s Theatre, Nashville Independent Film Festival and the Nashville Shakespeare Festival.

A city with a strong arts community will flourish. Art inspires creativity that stimulates our local economy, energizes and empowers, and encourages success in schools.
